Tried some more smoke experiments. Thanks to the tip @marvelprash!
Hope to get a perfect result in this weeks time. Sorry for the late upload, got really busy in some other work.
I tried some smoke photography today. It can be really painful to experiment with this when you’re alone and with a point and shoot because focusing in the dark is a pain in the arse. My equipment for this experiment was as follows:
- My HX9v
- An upside down bucket (instead of a tripod)
- A black t-shirt (backdrop)
- An incense stick (smoke)
- My E7 (screen for focusing and flash light for lighting)
I post-edited it in photoshop using filters from an external b/w plugin and grains were added intentionally so that they balance out the texture of cloth and the color noise it bought.
Here in the picture, I see abstract figures of chameleon and a face. Anything that you notice?
There were no good pictures from today so I am uploading a picture from day before yesterday. A smoke experiment was done by me. The result is not very satisfactory. I’ll upload a better picture in the future when I am successful with this.
Sorry for the late update. Like, reaaaaly late update. But I couldn’t help it as I was out of town for some days and I had no PC or internet access. So all I could do is wait for me to reach home and update my pictures later on. So now I am here updating it back. Here goes my submission of 12th Feb. Submission number 21.
(As my self punishment, I’ll upload 2-3 pictures per submission)
Okay. This 3rd one is kinda special in its own way and weirdly, I like it! You can see a figure of a human in an evil ghostly position if you can. Not all can see it, but still…
